VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai Fantasy

How to play

  • Drafting Players: Assemble a virtual team of real-life pro players within a specified budget, strategically selecting players based on their performance potential.
  • Managing Teams: Throughout the tournament, you make tactical decisions such as setting lineups, making trades, and changing buffs to optimise their team's performance.
  • Scoring Points: Player performances in real-life games translate into points for your fantasy team based on predefined scoring criteria (e.g., kills, deaths, assists, etc.).
  • Competing and Winning: Compete against each other in leagues, with standings determined by the accumulation of points earned by their fantasy teams. Prizes and bragging rights await the top performers

Point Padding

Padding will be awarded for each round skipped. Remember that the player must have atleast 1 match in your owner cycle to get awarded point padding. Captain buff does not apply on point padding.

The teams that qualify to the Upper Bracket Final will recieve 1 round of average point padding on June 7th. Buying a player from any Upper Bracket Final teams that day will not give you point padding.

The UB Grand Final will get 1 round of average point padding June 8th.

Point System

Kills: (Total / number of rounds) x 10

Assist: (Total / number of rounds) x 6

Deaths: (Total / number of rounds) x -4

KD-rating = 0-4 points

  • KD-rating: 0.8< 1 point
  • KD-rating: 1 < 2 points
  • KD-rating: 1.25 < 3 points
  • KD-rating: 1.5 < 4 points

Winning a match series = 2 points

Losing a match series = 0 points

The point system in practice:

Every player in your "active roster" will receive points per series rather than per map. See a BO3 example below.

Map 1 = 11 points, map 2 = 12 points & map 3 = 9 points. In this case, that player would receive 32/3 = 10.7 points. Of course + the average KD rating in that series and the extra 2 points if that player's team won.

Fantasy Phases

Building phase

The building phase will take place before the first match is played. This is where you experiment with different combinations of players and create the ultimate team for the tournament. Once the first game goes live, your team will be locked and it will be the team you have for the tournament. However, you can still do some changes.

Edit phase

Whenever, there is no matches live you will enter the edit phase. The edit phase is the time of the day where you can change your captain to a different player, which is important since you want 1 captain for each day. You can also schedule your captain via the timeline. You can also use your sell tokens to buy a new player.

Game Phase

The games are live! It's time to cheer for your players and hope they perform well. GL HF!

Captain Feature

The captain feature gives a 50% point bonus to the player you have assigned as your Captain. If you want, you can set a Captain before the League starts, and the captain booster will stay on that player until you actively change it to another player. You have one Captain swap every day, but you will lose your Captain swap for the day if your Captain has started a match series. You can only swap Captain during the Edit phase!

Captain = 1.5x bonus points

Selling a player

The SELL token enables participants to sell a player in their lineup and buy a new one. This action can only be performed during the EDIT phases and will consume your SELL token. When selling a player, you will be refunded the same amount of money as previously paid when you purchased the player. You will keep the points of your sold players for the remainder of the tournament, and they will be displayed in the section "Sold players". The sell token respects the max 2 per team limitation.

End Notes

The Organizer reserves the right to change the above Point System and described features at its sole discretion. We will inform users of significant changes, publicly announcing them on the website or our Discord server.
