How do I get points?
You will get points as the players in your lineup play their games in the ongoing tournament. Our point system is role based to give each player a fair amount of points based on whats important to their specific role. Welcome to the build phase, where you create your entire roster for the upcoming stage. If the tournament is short, there might only be 1 build phase which is the one at the start. If the tournament is longer with different stages, you might have the option to enter the build phase before the next stage. For example, you start by creating a team for the group stage. Then there is a pause before the playoffs. During this time, you will enter a new build phase where you can create a team for the playoffs. Read the info blog for the tournament to see if there are multiple build phases.
In the editing phase, you can change your captain and use your sell tokens. This phase takes place when no matches are playing during the day. It starts at 03:00 (Tournament timezone) and ends 1 hour before the day's first match.
During this phase, your lineup is locked, and you can't make any more changes. So sit back and cheer on your players. Hopefully, they will do well!
The captain feature gives a 50% point bonus to the player you have assigned as your Captain. If you want, you can set a Captain before the league starts, and the captain booster will stay on that player until you actively change it to another player. You have one captain swap every day, but you will lose your captain swap for the day if your Captain has started a match series. You can only swap captain during Edit phase!
Captain = 1.5x bonus points
Selling a player (New)
The SELL token enables participants to sell a player in their lineup and buy a new one. This action can only be performed during EDIT phases and doing so will consume your SELL token. When selling a player, you will be refunded the same amount of money as previously paid when you purchased the player. You will keep the points of your sold players for the remainder of the tournament, and they will be displayed in the section “Sold players”. We encourage you to be strategic with your SELL tokens since you only have 1 for every stage of the tournament. Your sell token will "refresh" at every wipe stage. The sell token now respects the max 2 per team limitation.
Player-transactions = 1
Point padding (New)
Point padding is given to teams that qualify further in the tournament and thus skip matches. We want players to be rewarded for picking the best teams, which is why we have point padding. If your team misses a match they will most likely receive an average point padding based on their tournament performance. This point padding is usually given when the match they skipped is being played. Static point padding (+6) is only given to teams if they start the tournament deeper in the bracket.
New: Your player most have atleast played 1 match in your lineup to earn point padding, meaning that you can't buy players solely for their point padding anymore.
The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the above Point System and described features at its sole discretion and will inform users of any significant changes by announcing the changes publicly on the website.
