The Format and Schedule:

The Blast Premier Spring Showdown is a tournament that features 16 teams from around the world competing for a prize pool of $135,000. The competition is split into two regions: America and Europe.

The 16 teams are divided into two groups, eight teams in each. The regions play a simple Single Elimination bracket style where if you lose, you are eliminated. All matches are BO3. The Favorites

While all teams have an excellent chance to win the tournament, there are some clear favourites based on their recent performances and ranking. Here are a few of the teams to keep an eye on during Blast Premier Spring Showdown.

  • Cloud9 has recently added buster to their team, which has clearly not affected their performance due to their 7-match win streak as of writing this. Much thanks to Sh1ro and his godlike performance with the AWP in recent matchups.
  • Liquid came in 3-4th place in IEM Katowice and is regarded as the best team from NA. Their position might change, however, based on how they perform in ESL Pro League, an event before Spring Showdown.
  • Fnatic recently qualified for the ESL Pro League playoffs, thanks to the danish AWPer Nicoodoz, who did good numbers during the event. Although they lost to teams like G2 and Outsiders. Fnatic is yet to go up against Cloud9.
